In a landscape largely devoid of its own streetwear presence, Hong
Kong’s Subcrew has become one of the strongest proponents of street
culture in the region. In past years, the brand cemented the trucker cap
as an important visual cue among the local youth but has since gone on
to expand its hold across China and Taiwan through several flagship
stores. We took the opportunity to visit the quaint little offices of
the collective, located in Hong Kong’s Prince Edward area. A humble
office is in itself a museum of pop culture, toys and memorabilia strewn
across the space.
